Girls Lacrosse Equipment Guide 2023

Equipment Needs in General

Female players will need a lacrosse stick, mouth guard, ASTM protective eyewear, and cleats. Gloves are optional.

Sizing Guide

The number one question we receive about girl’s equipment is how to measure for a proper fitting stick. Here is a short video to guide you: Youth Lacrosse Stick Sizing Guide | LACROSSE.COM - YouTube

USA Lacrosse put together this guide to assist with sizing and equipment needs, as well.  Dick's Sporting Goods also has goggles/gloves information found here and buying checklists here .

Recommended Equipment

Buying a lacrosse stick often comes down to experience, personal preference, and budget.

Grades K-4 and first time players:

**K2 players only: The club will provide a stick and goggles if needed that should be returned at the end of the season.

Dick's Sporting Goods offers a wide range of lacrosse gear including starter packs that come with a stick, bag, and goggles: STX Girls' Crux 100 Lacrosse Starter Pack | DICK'S Sporting Goods

Grades 5-8 and intermediate/advanced players:

We recommend investing in a higher quality stick and transitioning from a youth lacrosse stick to a women's lacrosse stick.
